Not that I'm an expert, but weapons seems to act pretty similar to how they would in real life. It rewards aggressive tactics and fast movement most of the time. The game plays much more like COD, albeit with larger maps and less movement. Playing "tactically" means trying really hard not to die, which is a great way to lose every match. Maps are not designed to be played "tactically" i.e room clearing and all that, but to play out like any other larger-scale shooter map, with lanes and routes and such. I might sound very negative, It's still pretty realistic just that I want it to change directions back to a more gritty and realistic game like the 2014 Insurgency felt like and like ranting about it, if you have any questions about any certain thing ask away, been playing it since release Overall while the game is definitely rather realistic, it is behind Squad Squad and Arma are about long range engagements, Insurgency is about CQB encounters which gives it a lot more arcady feel The whole insurgent faction is like the most generic bad guys, they are more russian than middle eastern, use russian weapons, don't have any traditional middle eastern customization options, the game isn't very immersive Lately the game has been going towards and I'm afraid will keep going towards a more casual game similar to COD (camera rotation towards your killer, unrealistic skins, more unrealistic and unimmersive maps which give more variety but are unrealistic and unimmersive)

The newer skin DLCs arent as bad as in COD but they aren't realistic TTK - with most weapons its 2-3 shots, some SMGs have lower damage, headshots always oneshot Promotional content may be removed if the poster does not meaningfully contribute to the subreddit.
